Product notes & care
Down migration
To keep the jacket light and supple, it is built without down bags or down tape. Fine down fibres can occasionally work through the weave — this is natural for this construction and not a defect.
Mixed down colour
Even after high-grade washing and sorting, a small number of grey feathers (black points) or coloured plumules can appear in natural down. This is normal and does not affect quality.
Using the zipper
The 2-way YKK zipper has a bottom pin: make sure the pin is fully seated before pulling up, or the slider can be damaged. Zipper damage from forcing is classed as wear and not covered by warranty.
Loft after packing
Loft can look uneven after the jacket has been compressed. Shake it out and let it rest; the down recovers on its own.
Repairs
Repairs are done with patches. If the same fabric is in stock we use it; otherwise a similar fabric is used, and on light colours the patch may show. A repair kit is included for small punctures; for larger damage contact us before shipping anything back.
Care
- Close every zipper and snap, turn inside out and hand wash alone in cold water with a down detergent.
- Water below 30 °C, neutral detergent, no bleach. Wash dark and bright colours separately.
- Do not wring. Dry flat out of direct sunlight, then tumble on low with dryer balls to restore loft. Do not dry clean or iron.
